THE WANDERER'S TIME

If time was not so precious
And weeks were meant to fly
I know I'd have more pleasure
Instead of just getting by

But the time you bring I welcome
And with true sincerity say
The little way you shape my thoughts
Has more than once brightened my day

And if I notice no more than nothing
But fond kindness and deep respect
A friend that's greatly cherished
In my mind I'll squarely set

And if love is not worth sharing
I feel my life was spent in vain
For all I ask is you but feel mine
And with that I have all to gain
