TAKE HIS HEART

There once was explanation for my pleasant state of mind
Seeming always to be present, like stars above or moon's soft shine
It was easy to be cheerful, for I had seen so many ways
To shrug away those ugly feelings, when they appeared with unsure days

I had witnessed deep truths inside me, this love allowed so clearly right
And encouraged the faith in others, for many lost their view of light
I was always so very certain, that I could always shake off the pain
When life's swift turn of disappointments would tumble down as sure as rain

And I could count on feeling better when sadness caused my eyes to wet
Lift the strain of expectations shattered, from lofty dreams never met
For alone we weren't intended, to face fierce winds of fate's strong blast
But joined with heart and heart together to feel the best of life at last

So take his heart. and place it near yours
And hear the harmony of two beats in song
And fix your faith to something lasting
For fickle fate is here then one day gone
