LOVE IS FOREVER

One by one the stream of hours, slip through slit of narrow neck
The pace and path determined, as they make their steady trek
The vessle of life pre-measured, as sands race through them each
A pound or two or twenty, in years or seconds reached

Each have them all one measure, some short, and some the most
But what is done with  measured moments, are the kind of which to boast
Some will quickly waste a lifetime, and with it, nothing much to show
And some will share, embrace a moment, and it's in this I wish you know

And its because I  choke and stammer, trip on words I wish  you know
That I asked  friend, more than willing, to paint these feelings with gentle flow
For in the time you've spent so freely, without one harsh complaint or such
Rests a heart's complete surrender,  with no greater courage or compassion touch

Find my loving adulation uncompromised,  for with your friendship inside I've grown
In seeing calm composure and peace from believing, such courage I'm glad in witness to have known
Do know kind future awaits tomorrow, in peace of mind that's hard to hide
And knowing an eternity of love awaits you, with smiling angels, on each and every side
