FILLEÄ REGRET

Could you care less for me? Less of being insecure?
In what seemed a girl's natural beauty, her soft spoken gift, her instinctive allure.
To runaway from honor, un-bound from promised state,
While I remained hopeful in curious, silent, and patient wait,

Encouraged to repair her delicate torn and tattered heart.
And resolve her lost Master's past neglect.
Maggie, you asked to be mine,
And I promised to protect.

It's time I shared more, than dreams, words, and wishes.
As desperate distance disapeared, within etched collar's reassuring click.
It was a time for a change. Knowing well, what trust had been delivered, no regrets in having said.
What was wished, we agreed to share together, and it was done with message read.

Am I to abandon reason? Abandon hope? Abandon desire?
Abandon heart? Abandon regret?
Recklessly abandon? I think not.
For it's all within a Master's choice.

Abandon consequance? There is no choice! And regrettably it pains!

But when choice is clearly absent........only 'my' responsibility still remains.
