BORROWED SMILE

It's not for lack of motivation
That I'm so deeply fixed in thought
In search of some forgotten feeling
Then gone again more times than not

To find sweet days remembered
The days when fun and joy would fill
Before the streaming scrolled down sunsets
Before harsh memories and evil will

Returns the happy child's fond feeling
Of kind thought lost so long ago
When viewing words of friendly chatter
Or if to see, just one "Hello"

Onto a love that I do borrow
Soft shines the smile of moonlit glow
To climb upon a fine tomorrow
Onto the smile I happily go.
