LOVES GLOW

When passion's blaze has lost it's hue
The fire now short and weak.
The richest gift is left behind
And this I still do keep.

When light has left and shadows fade
The warmth of love remains
When flash and flame have left the dance
My heated heart explains.

The coals of love still heat the soul
Look close they often hide.
Like warmth that surely soothes the soul
Its strength is locked inside

For once a love burned brightly
Will always leave some trace
Some bit of magic hidden
And cold it will replace

So blow away the ashes
And let the glow burn bright
For all that once was passion
Still warms me through the night.
